LED device and display board maker Opto Tech expects its consolidated revenues for the second quarter of 2015 to grow 10-20% on quarter, according to the company.
Currently, photo couplers and infrared LED devices account for 50% of consolidated revenues, visible-light LED devices for 30%, and indoor and outdoor LED display boards for 15-20%, Opto Tech said.
Opto Tech has a monthly capacity of packaging three billion visible-light LED chips and 2.5 billion infrared LED chips, the company indicated. As Opto Tech lays more emphasis on gross margin than on revenue, consolidated revenues for 2015 will increase slightly on year but net operating profit will rise by over 20%, the company said.
Opto Tech is developing new devices made of over 1,000nm infrared LED chips for use in fiber-optic communications as well as below 280nm ultraviolet LED chips for use in sterilizing refrigerators and water purifiers, with shipments expected to begin in early 2016, the company indicated.
